It’s all about Philadelphia this week. The 2016 Craft Brewers Conference officially kicks off today and with some 13,000 participants already in town for this thing – the place is rocking.
The only problem is there’s too much to do, what with all the panel discussions and seminars going on. And that’s just at the conference itself. There are all kinds of craft beer events taking place all over the city. And even though getting to all of them is near to impossible – we intend to cover as many as we humanly can.

Continental Breakfast Stop at the CBC – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (8:15 am) – Starting your day at a conference food station is always a smart way to go. After all you were out partying last night till two in the morning – and no one likes to sit next to someone at a seminar who’s reeking of alcohol. Take this opportunity to decide if you look better or worse that the person next to you… There may still be time to go back to your room and take another shower.
Craft Beer Book Signings – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday – The CBC always sets up a special book signing area at their bookstore and presents a wonderful roster of craft beer authors and industry leaders who have new books out. This is a brilliant opportunity to get some “one-on-one time” with brewing legends like Brooklyn Brewery’s Steve Hindy or Dogfish Head’s Sam Calagione, you don’t want to take a pass on something like that!

Mastodon Concert At The Electric Factory – Thursday night (5/5) BSG, along with Surly and Champion Brewing are bringing Mastodon and The Dillinger Escape Plan to Philly for the CBC. It’s all taking place at the Electric Factory a state-of-the-art rock house built in what was once a massive urban power plant. And, oh yeah, Mastodon will be playing, so prepare to be hammered – and get hammered.
