Breaking News – Drinking Beer Makes Men Studly!

Would be fathers take note. It’s time to start “power-pounding” beer if you’re serious about increasing your chances of conceiving. And on top of last week’s unfortunate news that hoppy beers could lead to “Man Boobs” we’ve got to admit that this “studly study” couldn’t have come at a better time!

So here’s the deal…

The findings of study done by Massachusetts General Hospital, indicates that men who drink a couple of beers a day (no problem there!) are twice as likely to conceive children as those stone sober. But there could be a catch, according to the New York Post. You’ll need to rebound the next morning, from last night’s bedside beer and romantic hijinks, without that ambulatory cup of coffee.

First, their good news…

“Experts said that a few drinks of alcohol a day can reduce a person’s stress level, and doctors agree that anything men could do to keep healthy and active is productive and helps in becoming a father.”

And the bad…

“Researchers said caffeine may actually harm a man’s sperm at a molecular level. Downing high-octane beverages like espresso at your local cafe can seriously harm your chances of making a baby.”

So if you’re trying for children, ACB has a few beers for you to consider that we think might move things along…

Valente Double Expresso Beer / Black Wolf Brewery (Sterling, Scotland) – No wonder Scotland’s population is declining.

Breakfast Stout / Founders Brewing (Grand Rapids, MI) – The baby on this beer’s label is as close as you’ll ever get to a newborn, if you keep drinking this Imperial Coffee Stout while you’re trying to conceive…just sayin’.
