Beer City USA 2012 Title Announced!

And the winner is.........

Charlie Papazian's Beer City USA Poll is over - the results are in- and you may, or may not, be surprised by the results.

According to Charlie, writing at examiner.com several cities were aggressively going after the title:

From the start it was clear that communities from several areas of the United States intended to make a run for winning the honor of becoming 2012 BeerCity USA. Facebook, Twitter, other community networks and local media were active throughout the 13-day polling period.

And with 55,926 votes cast for 31 different American cities the results are in.

Drum roll please......it is Asheville NC and Grand Rapids MI in a statistical tie!

It was Asheville's fourth win in a row- that's a pretty awesome run that deserves its own special award. It was Grand Rapid's first win.

Here's how everything played out according to Mr. Papazian:
