Airways Brewing and American Craft Beer: Collaboration Done Right

, Airways Brewing and American Craft Beer: Collaboration Done RightA few months ago, Alex and Dione Dittmar got in touch with the shmucks here at ACB to find out if we wanted to go in on this crazy idea. A brewery and a national craft beer news & lifestyle site collaborating on a brew? Of course we said yes.

So we set out planning something we all agreed needed to be a collaboration in all senses of the word – the name, the label, the release date. We here at ACB thought it best to leave the recipe to the professionals, and Alex came up with a good one.

On August 10th, Matt and (friend of ACB) Jacob met up with Dione and Alex to make some beer. They toiled (not really), sweated (kind of), and worked way too hard (right…) to make something that would delight and amaze. And to be honest, we’re amazed with what we were able to be a part of. Brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, and Simcoe hops, Non-Stop is deep copper in color with a big citrus and pine hop aroma and flavors. An American IPA, Non-Stop blends the smoothness of an East Coast Pale Ale with the hoppiness that defines a West Coast IPA.

, Airways Brewing and American Craft Beer: Collaboration Done RightIf you are in the Seattle area, come by the Airways Brewing Tap Room in Kent on Thursday to celebrate with the teams! We will be toasting to a true national collaboration, while drinking what we created. We invite beer fans around the country to participate in a coast-to-coast toast on Thursday via Instagram and Twitter by posting photos with the hashtag #NonStop.

Big thanks to Alex and Dione for this opportunity. We had a great time, and are sure that all of you will love the brews of our labor!
