5 More Pumpkin Beers To Get While You Can

Last week we unveiled 5 pumpkin beers you can’t miss and it’s clear to us that you’re only thirsty for more! And no, you’re not out of your gourd to take on such pursuits as it’s natually the perfect time of year to get lost in all things Pumpkin. We’ve also recently reveled in what the style is and some of the best available a few weeks back, yet there are hundreds of varieties to choose from, so we’re not done with the style just yet. You’d be silly not to try these beers before they’re gone for another year.

, 5 More Pumpkin Beers To Get While You CanNew Holland BrewingIchabod (Holland, MI) – the lightest of this lot, we were lucky enough to sample this at GABF and were pleasantly surprised. In existence since 1997, this headless ale gallops across your senses with real pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. And while the brewers recommend it to accompany dessert, it’s light enough at 5.2% ABV to be consumed anytime.

21st Amendment BreweryHe Said – Belgian Tripel (San Francisco, CA) – we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention one of our favorite autumn craft beers. Along with its other half, a Baltic Porter of equal heft (8.2% abv), this collaboration with Elysian boasts big flavored beers that minimize the pumpkin flavor and add just enough unique spices such as this Tripel’s ginger-like galangal and tarragon seasoning.

, 5 More Pumpkin Beers To Get While You CanHeavy Seas Beer, The Great’ER Pumpkin (Baltimore, MD) – in the Imperial category for pumpkin beers, yet it’s not as potent as some of the other popular big pumpkins. Crammed with flavor, including bourbon, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, vanilla and clove, this should be given out door to door so the big kids can indulge too! 10% ABV.

, 5 More Pumpkin Beers To Get While You CanNew Belgium Brewing, Pumpkick (Fort Collins, CO) –  this is one of those sneaky good one’s that you might be hesitant at first to indulge in, but then it totally pays off. Featuring your standard fare of pumpkin, cinnamon and allspice, the Fat Tire Tribe kick it into gear with a splash of cranberry juice and earthy lemongrass. A unique offering among the pumpkin crowd. 6.0% ABV.

Pfriem Family Brewers, Pumpkin Bier (Hood River, OR) –  while this might be a tough to find outside of the Portland, Oregon area, it is an exceptional specimen of the pumpkin ale genus. These guys are known for their Saison and Belgian offerings, so it’s only fitting that their pumpkin offering would be brewed with Belgian yeast, roasted pumpkin purée, cinnamon, Jamaican allspice, nutmeg and ginger root. 6.9% ABV.
