Memorial Day is almost here…and we’ve some killer “warm weather” releases that you’ll want to get your sweaty little hands on.
Patriotic (Saint Louis, MO) – Schlafly Beer is releasing the next in their seasonal rotating IPA series and they’ve timed it to coincide with Memorial Day. Sourced by directly from hop farmers in Oregon and Washington, and brewed using the 100% American hops, Schlafly American IPA is a 7.2% Pale Ale on steroids with a bright golden hue and a rich full body.
Berlin Wise (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog has a new Brewhouse Rarities release that’s their take on a German classic. Brewhouse Rarities Berliner Weisse is 4.7% Sour Wheat Ale that’s a tart and crisp alternative to the obvious summertime lager.
Brew Housed (Rochester, NY) – New York’s oldest brewery, Genesee, recently introduced a new Pilot Batch Series seasonal that’s a unique version of the Pilsner and pairs perfectly with hotdogs. A regional variation on the traditional Pils, Genesee North German-style Pilsner is a 5% refresher with a bold hop presence.
Where There’s A Will – There’s A Wheat (San Francisco, CA) – Memorial Day signals summer’s arrival. Light and refreshing beers take center stage at this time of year and Anchor has a great one. Anchor Summer Wheat is a filtered 4.5% ABV that’s light, crisp and perfect for the long hot summertime days to come.
Canned Love (Downingtown, PA) – The addition of Victory Brewing’s Parkersburg operation has allowed them to up their canning game – and their now widely-distributed canned summer seasonal is a perfect example. Victory Summer Love Ale is a 5.2% ABV Blonde brewed with whole flower Tettnang, Simcoe and Citra hops and fresh clean German malts. And it’s out now (just in time for Memorial Day), in cans as well as in bottles and on draft.
