3 DC Beer Week Events That You Don’t Want To Miss

 

ACB’s home is in the nation’s capital and DC Beer Week, which kicks off this weekend, is a favorite time of year for us. Now in its seventh year, this week of festivities just keeps getting better and better – and with so much to do that one needs to be strategic.

And here’re three marquee events that we’re not missing.

The debut event that will be kicking off this week of beer dinners, tastings, tap takeovers, and craft beer mayhem is Sunday’s Brewers on the Block. This massive celebration at Suburbia, outside Union Market, will feature the best breweries, cideries, and meaderies in the region – and promises to be a total blast!

Brewers on the Block will offer both VIP and general admission tickets. VIP entry commences at 1 pm, and general admission opens up at 2 pm. The event concludes at 5 pm. And, oh yeah, you can purchase tickets here.

, 3 DC Beer Week Events That You Don’t Want To MissPort City Beach Party at the National Building Museum (Tuesday, August 11th)

On Tuesday night we’ll be at the National Building Museum where they’ve installed an indoor beach summer exhibit – and Port City Brewing is throwing a night of food, music and drinking from 6 pm to 9 pm.

, 3 DC Beer Week Events That You Don’t Want To MissThe Washington, DC Total Tap Takeover at ChurchKey (Thursday, August 13th)

On Thursday ChurchKey will devote all 55 of its draft and cask lines to beers brewed right here in the District. Not only will this be the first time that they’ve turned over each and every one of their taps to DC craft brewers, this will also be the largest single tapping of DC craft brews…ever! The evening will start at 4 pm and will rage into the night.
